Week 1 Survivor Fantasy Football thread

with everyone being paid, I figured we could get the pick thread up and answer any remaining questions.

* players can only be used once by each team. If you pick tom brady week 1, you can never use tom brady again.

* if a team fails to submit a roster, all other teams advance, the players everyone selected for that week are still be counted

* if playing anyone in any Thursday night game, that pick must be submitted by 6pm est. rest of your roster is due by noon est sunday.

* if you miss the noon est deadline your team is eliminated. no submitting players from late games/snf/mnf

* you start 1 qb, 1 rb, 1 wr, 1 te each week

* to submit picks, you can pm me here or email kidman231@yahoo.com (make sure you include your user name).

* about 30 minutes prior to the 1pm est games I will post everyone roster selections including any Thursday players at that time

* if I play anyone in Thursday night football, I will post my pick by the deadline for all to see

* lowest scoring team from each week is eliminated, if two teams tie, we will use a tiebreaker method (team with highest scoring player advances). if all four players on each team score the exact same amount, both teams advance to next week where the lowest scoring team between the two is eliminated, along with the last place team from that week.
Scoring System Reminder:

qb-
any touchdown = 6 pts
passing yards = 1 point per 30 yards
rushing = 1 point per 10 yards
receptions = 1 point per reception
rec yards = 1 point per 10 yards

RB
any touchdown = 6 points
rushing yards = 10 yards per point
receiving yards = 10 yards per point
receptions = 1 point per reception

WR/TE
any touchdown =6 points
rushing yards = 1 point per 10 yards
receiving yards = 1 point per 10 yards
receptions = 1 point per reception

misc points
fumble lost/int = -2 points

successful 2 point conversion (whether thrown, rushed, or caught) = 2 points
any return and or fumble recovery for touchdown = 6 points

I'm not sure about anyone else but I'm surprised we don't use decimal scoring for this contest. A guy like Cooks would have 11.8 instead of only 11, I'm not sure why McCaffery only has 10 as it seems like he should have 11. Those few yards and points are so huge in a contest like this, just my opinion.

I know, it just doesn't make sense because if Harry loses by 1 point he could technically have outscored his opponent, which is the point of the contest. But he loses due to rounding up or down. That just seems silly to me when there is an exact score we are able to calculate so there's no need to round up or down, but it's your contest and maybe I'm the only one who cares?

The odds are everyone elses score goes up a point or two as well. The rules were put in place some time ago and posted many times. Ive been eliminated by 1 point last year.thats just the way the game goes

Yea its rare for a player to score negative in contest. In the other survivor league i run through my work, guy started dalton for -5 this week. Ryan fitzpatrick a yr or two against chiefs was negative as well
